That one was hanging by your front door when we visited if I recall correctly. So why winter as we sit in the heart of summer? Or is it a winter of the soul?

For nothing moves me more than the bare trees standing up in the middle of the cold winter, strong yet so vulnerable, thousands of them lining up but each one seems so lonely. Specially those old trees, like great grand parents after so many suns, graciously holding the king of the skies between their branches.

I love the winter skies warming up my window... I painted this one in Jersey.
